Where do I begin ? So I booked this hotel a month hinein advance through Expedia. The pictures on their website and Expedias look as if they were stock photos however after careful digging and some reviewing I realized that they had recently remodeled during COVID and didn’t have many pictures for Bericht. Upon arrival to the hotel the outside of the hotel seemed to still be under construction as there was no actual sign more like a banner taped across the top and the Wirtshaus next door to it looked as if it welches an unfinished building. Entering the lobby there welches a nice little sitting area, self checkin computers, and nice bright lighting. The receptionist welches very friendly and helpful while checking me rein. This is where the downhill battle began...All fees as listed on Expedia stated that they were paid hinein full on the site and were non refundable so when I welches told to swipe my card for an additional $150 for hotel deposit I welches a little baffled. I know that this is standard practice when booking with the hotel directly but It welches not listed on Expedia through their advertisement. I run out of the room full speed with my bf asking me what’s happened?? I head back down to the receptionist and she states that the room is supposed to be empty as stated in the Organisation. She then sends security to the room and the guests confirms that he checked in earlier that day. The receptionist then proceeds to inform me that the Anlage went down earlier in the day and that maybe the reason for it not showing as an occupied room on the system. She apologizes and advises me that the hotel will honor 50% off of our first night through Expedia because of the inconvenience, I agree and await for the issuing of ur new room. The new room is literally on the same floor just a few doors down from the room I walked rein on the man. I advise the receptionist that because of what happened I an dem not comfortable with staying on that floor but she informs me because of construction this welches the only floor that they had available.
